Functional Remediation is a new approach to help bipolar patients improve functioning. It was validated in an RCT published in 2013 in the American Journal of Psychiatry by Torrent, Bonnín, and colleagues from Eduard Vieta’s research group in Barcelona, and was recently published as a manual by Cambridge University Press.
The two day training workshop will allow attendees to learn key aspects of the instruments, tools, and therapy approaches utilized in the FR program. Individuals who are interested in the training will be invited to participate in some reading and discussion groups both before and after the workshop, in order to maximize learning as well as skill development.
