A New Stage for the National Network of Depression Centers

The NNDC has partnered with the Arbor Opera Theatre (AOT) in Ann Arbor, MI on the production of a new adaptation of Verdi’s greatest operatic masterpiece, La Traviata.  The AOT is creating a brand new English adaptation that seeks to create the emotional impact that Verdi always intended – that society as a whole stigmatizes those we don’t understand.  This unique adaptation will feature the theme of stigma in mental illness as portrayed by the main character, Violetta.  The production will be June 11-14, 2015 at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre in Ann Arbor.
