Kay Redfield Jamison, PhD, the Dalio Professor of Mood Disorders, Co-Director of the Mood Disorders Center at Johns Hopkins University, and an esteemed Board Member of the NNDC, was the speaker for the annual benefit dinner at the University of Louisville Depression Center on October 19th, 2017.

Dr. Jamison spoke to a full-house of mental health advocates and clinicians at the Mohammed Ali Center on “Robert Lowell, Setting the River on Fire: A Study of Mania,  Genius , and Character. ”

Drawing on her new book on the poet, Robert Lowell, she gave a spell-binding talk on the relationship between bipolar disorder and creativity.
