The Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Psychiatry includes more than 600 affiliated psychiatrists and psychologists who provide state-of-the-art assessment and care for adults and children with mental health disorders.  Clinical services include an outpatient clinic; specialty clinics for depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, schizophrenia, autism, and eating disorders; addiction management services, including intensive case management and care for adolescents and young adults; two large child psychiatry services; an adult ADHD clinic; two neuropsychological assessments units; an urgent care program; and a 24-bed medical psychiatry inpatient unit.  The Department has the largest clinical research program in the hospital, with ground-breaking studies in neuroscience, genetics, and the assessment of new and established treatments for mental health disorders. The Department of Psychiatry has earned the #1 ranking in psychiatry in the U.S. News & World Report annual survey “America’s Best Hospitals” for fourteen consecutive years.
