Many of the artists featured in this exhibition have either lived with depression or have experienced the disasters of mental illness through family or other members of society. Themes in “Vital (A)(R)(T)” reflect the diversity of these experiences, presenting a message of hope and recovery. Through this exhibition, WVSA ARTs connection and NNDC seek to amplify such diverse voices, which often go unheard due to the stigma and debilitating effects of mental illness.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A major step was taken in the fight against depression. The National Network of Depression Centers (NNDC) is proud to announce the passage of the ENHANCED Act of 2009 as part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (H.R. 3590), on March 21, 2010.
