Advocate for Change

Let our leaders know how you feel about depression care, prevention and research.

Depression is a political, psychological, social and economic issue. Important decisions about depression and mood disorders are made every day in Congress and statehouses. Let’s be sure they hear loud and clear that addressing depression and mood disorders is a top priority for the American people.

The NNDC establishes connections between researchers, spreads effective clinical and public programs, oversees the standardization of clinical guidelines, creates a reliable venue for networking among philanthropic foundations, and develops resources for treatment, education, and research.

The time is now to invest, over 5 years, 1/10th of 1% of what it costs our society every year into a national network of “centers of excellence” in partnership with the National Network of Depression Centers.

Together we can achieve a sea change in how the nation addresses depression, bipolar illness and mood disorders. We have reached a fork in the road of healthcare in our nation. Which one we take will make all the difference for our children, grandchildren and the generations to come.
